Dr. Ward was a former flight surgeon serving with the United States Air Force in Vietnam. Upon returning to the U. S. he worked as an emergency room physician for 10 years in Atlanta, Georgia. He obtained Board certification in emergency medicine in 1982. Subsequently he returned to Emory University for diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in neuroradiology. He is currently a board certified diagnostic radiologist and a member of the American Society of Neuroradiology.
